Federal Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt, UBA) is Germany´s central environmental authority. It was established in Berlin in 1974 and employs more than 1,400 people at 13 locations. In addition to research activities, the enforcement of environmental law and providing information to the general public about environmental protection issues are key areas of our daily work.
